Hello again Tinamarie

Your log is still clean however I would criticise you having two antimalware programmes running in real-time, they will cause conflicts and slowness. Your log shows Windows Defender and Ewido Guard. Of the two Ewido is by far superior in my humble opinion, but if you have it for the 30-day trial only, it will stop being efficient as a real-time scanner after the trial period as you will have to manually update it, unless you decide to buy it.

Some people are getting problems with Google Toolbar Notifier. Google have announced that they are trying to fix it. Just be aware of that.

Hello again Tinamarie

Here's how to disable Windows Defender:

Rescan with HijackThis. Close all programmes leaving only HijackThis running. Place a checkmark or tick against the following:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Defender] "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe" -hide

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Bazooka is a very small programme with a database of about 500 items, nothing like a good scanner like Ewido with 110,000. I have no idea what the exploit is, but if Ewido didn't find it, I wouldn't worry about it.

I started playing with computers back in the 1980's. I suppose I have an enquiring mind so it wasn't long before I was building them and using DOS commands. I am self taught with the exception of the malware removal speciality, which is partly down to this site's Geek University. BTW, the learning never finishes.

These days I am disabled, so this pastime has become more like work to me.

You are welcome to the help.

I will leave this thread open for a few days in case of misfortune.
