Need help restarting my computer so as to reinstall Me in MS-DOS from the c:/ drive. I need to reinstall Me to replace missing rundll32.exe files. Would also like to know how to place needed exsisting data in to a zip file and will it fit on a 3.5 after it is in a zip. Please help with procedures and or advice.

I'm sorry, I do not understand. Why do you need to reinstall ME from DOS to replace the rundll32.exe file? Is that all that was deleted?

Boot WindowsME into safe mode by tapping the f8 key once every second while it is counting up memory...choose safe mode from the menu.

Once in safe mode, hit START > RUN, type

Click the EXTRACT FILE Button and browse to your WindowsME CD

The file is in the win_17.cab

Extract it to C:\Windows\System folder
