I'm using a Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop.
The graphics card is an Intel 945GM Express.

I want to update the drivers for the card, so I download this:
http://tinyurl.com/god6x (not an exe, just the page it's on)

When I go to run the exe file to install the new driver, I get an error message that says:
"the driver being installed is not validated for this computer. please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer."

Is there a way for me to validate the driver? I mean, the chipset came installed in the laptop when I got it. I don't see why a driver update wouldn't be "validated".

Thanks.

I recommend you go to the dell website and get video drivers listed there. They are tested and are gauranteed to work with your laptop.
