Need advice and help. I recently reformatted my harddrive after another bout with coolweb search. Now my wireless card will not connect with my router (Linksys). It's probably something simple, but I'm so paranoid about the power of CWS to change basic settings. Any advice from anyone?

Kind Regards,
Corky

Hello corky and welcome to G2G, :whistling:

Please check and make sure you have the correct drivers loaded for your device and that there are no hardware conflicts. Heres how:

Locate your My Computer icon and right click on it
Select Properties
In the System Properties Window click on the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button
In the Device Manager window scroll down to Network adapters
Under network adapters do any of the devices have a yellow "!" or a red "x" on them
If so post back now
If not, right click on your wireless device and select Properties
Click on the Resources Tab and under Conflicting device List verify that it says: No Conflicts
If it does post back now
If it says something different post back what it says.
