I have a Gateway laptop when I start i get the C:\windows\system32\config\system file is missing or corrupted. I would do another install but my sister has pics on the disk I am trying to save if at all possible.
I have tried everything else I could find posted on here. When I try copying the file it says it can't be found. I am just looking for some more ideas. I would really appreciate the help.

If you have a XP install disk you can try this. A repair install is also an option.
