I have installed XP SP2 on my PC recently, but I have been experiencing an issue, which is : when I tried to access some web sites (not all of them) from the "Favorites", Internet Explorer closed suddenly.

Please look in the event viewer of Admin Tools and see if you can find the corresponding errors (maybe under application?) More often, a user gets a little box "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close" with an option to send a report to MS or not, and an expandable view of the tech error. You are saying IE just ended abruptly with no closing prompt?

If the same websites always caused IE to close, and this is kind of stretching, but were any of the sites you visited that made IE close listed on a blacklist (like Spybot's "immunizer") or sites needing a particular function to execute- like java or active X, and if so, is the problem random or do all sites that have "Fill-in-the-blank" cause IE to quit? If the links are family friendly, post them here, if not send me a PM.
