HELP!

Whenever ive switched on the pc or logged on to my area window pops up:

'Sonic Update Manager'
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removeable disk that is not available.
Insert the 'Sonic Update Manager' disk and click OK.

(i deleted the Sonic Update Manager via: start - control panel - add or remove programmes)

But immediatly had the exact same message popping up but instead of 'Sonic Update Manager' it was 'Sonic Activation Module'.

Takes ages to get away every time on pc.

HELP!

Well, RecordNow is a Sonic application that burns CDs etc.

Check on the Sonic website for potential applications that could be causing this issue.

Is RecordNow still showing in the "Add/Remove Programs" applet?
To check Click Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and check the list...

Also, do you have an install CD for it(not likely if it came preinstalled)?
Can you tell me what the EXACT filename that was requested?

Yes. On add/remove programs it shows all three: Roxio RecordNow Audio, Roxio RecordNow Copy, Roxio RecordNow Data.

NOTE: I'd prefer to keep these programs.

There was no discs for these programs

Thanks

And the file requested, if you reboot to recreate the problem, select "browse" and look at the filename in the "Open" dialog. Post the results here.

Thanks,
