We have two computers, at home, which are networked. The frequency of internet disconnects/reconnects is maddening but nowhere near as frequently as once or twice an hour. Comcast has sent a tech out to plug his laptop directly into their modem and no problem seems to be coming from their end. We have heard that D-Link has recently sent update messages to their routers. We have had a D-Link for four years with no problems until now. So, in a moment, we are going to follow your modem/router resetting steps by-the-letter. We are even going to turn our computers off! If my next entry is a smiley face, your remedy worked. If it is a frowney(?) face, your remedy did not work for us.
