Opened web page disappears when I minimize it and open another

I had a web page open and minimized it to the taskbar so I could go back to it after opening another web site. The first page just closed when I opened the second site. How can I fix that? Thanks

On a web page, click tool, internet options, advanced, remove the tick for re-use windows, click apply, close the browser
