Okay I have a Dell comp that used to have XP. I had to reformat and load windows 2000. Since I have reloaded windows 2000 I only have an option of 16 colors... Everything looks very strange.... I also seem to have no sound... How do I fix it?? It got a worm and the original OS was already loaded on my comp, so I loaded 2000 since I had a copy of it. I also suddenly have no cd burning equip now. Please help.... thanx :D <_<

Welcome pacheal <_<

Windows 2000 doesn't recognize all the hardare in your system. You need to go to Dell.com, download drivers for video card, sound card, and CD-Rom, then install them. If have trouble locating these drivers on Dell's site, just give me the model number of your computer and I'll provide a link for you.

You may also find AIDA System Information Tool, tool useful for identifying stuborn, or aftermarket hardware.

P.S. Windows XP is a much better operating system, is there a reason you can't reinstall it?
