For a while now I've had trouble with my (mom's) computer's sound. Whether it's online or on a cd, it won't play smoothly, it'll breakup, go slow, then catch up, and it does this all the time. It used to play fine. Can anyone help me out?

hey, i had the same problem when i reloaded my xp to my computer after recovering from a nasty virus, you might try this to see if it helps, find out the specs on your computer, go to driver.com and search for a driver for your cd player, dowload one if you find it applicable and install. also you may need a windows patch for the video or audio. you could probably find one at msn.com. one more thing to try might be to lookup the hardwares manufacturer and see if the company has any drivers, updates or patches available for your cd. hope this helps.
