Accessing internet through BT Yahoo Broadband. Works for a minute or two when PC is first turned on - then comes up - unable to display webpage msg.

Am able to reboot and again access internet for only a minute and same problem reoccurs.

Ran a hijackthis - which hilighted the following -

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'ypclsp.dll' missing

Ran Ad-aware LSPFIX which stated a broken chain was occuring in the LSP pgms - Selected option to fix and apparently it fixed the problem although the connection still drops after minutes online. This is after doing reboot after reboot!

The broadband monitor icon on the system tray says that I am still connected although cannot access any webpages.

I thought it might be something to do with Parental Controls getting in the way but these are currently de-activated.

I ran another hijacker and here is the output -

Replaced modem - no difference. Reinstalled broadband connection software and problem resolved! It doesn't make any sense but as I wasn't getting any assistance (!) I thought i'd try everything I could think of!

It looks to me as though you are running a lot of your ISP's software. You also have Spy Doctor. This can sometimes be the cause of some problems. It looks like you changed modems so the alctel usb shouldn't be the problem.

I would reset the Winsocks. If you are running SP2 go to Start /Run /open=cmd . Type in "netsh winsock reset" (no quotes) and press enter. You should get the message to finish the reset you need to restart the computer.

If you have SP1, in command prompt type "netsh int ip reset C:\resetlog.txt" (no quotes) press enter and see if you can stay connected.

I see malware in your log, too. Did you follow the directions at:
http://www.geekstogo..._Log-t2852.html
??? You might have gotten help more quickly if you would have posted your log inthe right place.
