hi,
using win xp, home, sp2
lately when i click on Ctrl-Alt-Del to end a frozen task in windows and click 'task manager' in the security panel, the screen just goes blank (yet still light up) and nothing can be done from the keyboard. even the computer on/off switch won't work! i have to unplug the computer and plug back in, then start again from scratch. so please help me re configure windows explorer or whatever else is causing the blank/inoperative screen after clicking 'task manager' in 'windows security'.

Check the anti virus is running after the reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to optimize the computer, select computer with an internet connection from the drop down menu, this also requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to accelerate downloads, select the speed just above your actual connection speed, this requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to run system advisor
