Recently whenever I've tried watching videos or listening to internet radio I get messages like these:

Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2800.1548 Offset: 00055393

or...

Microsoft Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close
AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2980 ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2800.1548 Offset: 00055393

Any help would be very appreciated. I'm using Windows ME/internet explorer 6
