This problem has just started this afternoon. When I turn on my computer and it goes through its whole booting routine, the audio driver fails to load at all. I honestly have no idea how or why it is not working. I ran all my virus scanners and such, and it still does not seem to want to work.

I don't know if it will help, but there are some other things (error messages, ... is not responding, etc) that have been going on are; sgtray (?) error message comes up when computer boots, and on shut down, a "... is not responding" for nVIDIA comes up.

When I tried to listen to AOL Radio, this error message appeared: (title) DirectSound output v2.2.10 error (message) Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error code: 88780078.

Also, in the System Configuration Utility, under the services tab, the Windows Audio service says "Stopped"

[Sorry if there is not enough information, I am far from a computer expert. If you need to know anything else, please just ask me and I will respond as quickly as possible =) ]
