hi

wonder if someone can help i have a pc i want to format because i cannot get onto it has password at desktop with unknown password but i need to change main start up to recognoise disk at boot up with cd rom can someone tell me how to get by that

If there's a password to the BIOS and you dont have the password and want to change the setting on the BIOS, try removing the CMOS battery from the computer and wait at least 72 hours. And then, Put the CMOS battery back in the computer. When you get to the BIOS section, it wont tell you to enter a password. :whistling:

Hi scotty59,

HPDV8315LOVER is mostly correct but you also might have to change a jumper setting. If you want a specific answer please post your motherboard make and model and we'll see what we can do.
