right i am going shopping for a Laptop and only have 500 english pounds to spend. [poor i know :whistling:]

i want it for university work and also day to day net use. i.e. msn, browsing, word, wmp etc.

i have found this one

What i would do is to look up the laptop at the makers website and see how much support they offer. Do they have readily available parts you can order at any time. I have not worked with acer laptops but i do know that H-P does have pretty good support. Down the road a few years which one will you be able to find parts for. I had a acer pentium 500 desktop computer years ago and it was not a bad computer at all, but i havent even seen any lately. Your choice it seems.
