My son has a Gateway computer running Windows XP Pro on it. I have just reformatted the computer as it began to slow down and had problems with EXE on alot of his games.
Now that I have reformatted it I installed a game that I knew had the EXE problem and it is still doing it. He has about 5 games that does this, do you know what the deal is and why it is doing it?
His computer has only been on line to download a patch for the one game I just did so I don't think it is viruses or malware.

It sounds like a compatibility issues with your operating system. How old are these games? do you see your operating system (windows) in the minimum requirment?

Hi,
The games have worked previously and now they stop in the middle. Most of the games are for Windows 98. He also played most of these on my computer without any issue too, I haven't let him try them on mine as I have no room left.
My daughter just bought a new game that is called Kitty Luv. Hers is doing the exact samething too. Hers is for 98, ME and XP.
I reformatted his computer after doing 1 of those free computer checks and it said he had 1319 things wrong with it so I thought that might of been it. He says most of his games are working like they used to, but 1 of his so far and the Kitty Luv game are stilll doing it.
I hope you can help us, my daughter is upset, hers was a birthday gift.
