Monitor Problem...tearing my hair out!

Hi guys...

U know on ur monitors u have those buttons on the side where when u press them you get a little window on the screen come up which u can use to change the size, contrast of the screen etc.

Yeah so randomly that little window came out on the screen and the buttons on the side of the monitor don't work...
i can't turn off the screen and none of the buttons dont work...

this is really annoying me plz help!! its happened before and has really really frustrated me ..

this window jus gets in the way...doesn't go behind anything...aaaaaaaaaah

pleeeeeeease any help would be greatly appreciated... :help:

Have you tried pulling the power to the monitor?
also if you go through the menu there is always an exit setting.

Maybe the buttons on the monitor are bad. Try a new monitor to see if you still have the same problem.

thats the thing
none of the buttons on the side work so there is no way of choosing exit in the menu

peterm - u mean jus pulling out the cable in the back (the blue one) and put it back in?

no not the one that hooks to the computer the one that goes to the power supply.
