adaware help

hi all, i recently got some viruses from an unknown source and need some help removing them.

i ran an adaware scan and while the scan was running there were 86 infected files found, however, when the scan was about to complete, my xp theme reverted back to a classic windows theme and my pc restarted itself.

i also have a trend antivirus which doesnt pick up any viruses.

can anyone help me with this problem or give me advice on which other programs to use.

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum.
