Computer lags after idle

I installed a 3ghz Prescott Processor and ever since, everytime I come back from idle, my computer lags.

I tried to install new BIOS but when I clicked it, I get "Unknown chipset" and all that junk.

Can anyone help.

I have Gigabyte GA-8IG


CPU Type Intel Pentium 4, 3000 MHz (15 x 200)

When it comes back open up the Task Manager and see what process is taking up the most CPU usage.

It said CPU usuage only 30%.
