I was looking at my msconfig startup tab & noticed a bunch of square symbols as the "startup item" & the "command" with the "location" of (HKCU/SOFWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Windows: Load) ... does anybody know what this is? & should I take it off of my start up!? Thanks!

Your log looks good, but it might be deceiving thanks to the squares thingy. That thing means that you have something that MSConfig cannot display, so it might be something from another language

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as Export.bat and save it on your Desktop.

notepad Output.txt
del /q Output.txt

Locate Export.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it. This will open Notepad with some text in it. Post that.

Let's see if that clears something up.

&& I've taken those boxes off & everything seems to be going fine, I just wish my startup would be a tad bit faster b/c I've only had like two things startup along with other thing necessary & it still starts up the same w/or w/out all the programs

If everything is alright we can drop it though... You might want to post a log from HijackThis to see if there are other items that aren't needed to load.

Update Java:

• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
• Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
  
  It should have next icon next to it:
  Select it and click Remove.
• The current version can be downloaded from Sun here: http://java.sun.com/...loads/index.jsp Scroll down the page to 'Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8' and press the 'Download' button. On the new web page, click the 'Accept License Agreement' button. Then select 'Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language' in the Windows Platform area just below the Accept button.

Run HijackThis, click on "Scan" and check the boxes next to all these items.

Then close all windows, and browsers, except HijackThis. Tell HijackThis to "Fix checked". Restart your computer and post a new log in this thread.
