Enhancing my PS2 image on my LCD TV

I recently hooked up my ps2 to an 40'' lcd tv screen and noticed the image was blurry and well just crappy quality while it was great on ym old 27'' tv. I went out and purchased a RGB cable for it and the quality looks the same, is there anyway to fix the quality?

Try adjusting your tv settings, you said you bought a RGB cable and the still had the same results, chances are it's not your system or cables. Some of these options can be spotted at the tv menu----setup----video .
There should be sharpening options, lighting options etc.
