Hi,

I made a shortcut to restart my computer, and I would like to use the "restart" icon for it (the one of the start menu, it is a green shortcut). If I make "change icon" and I look in shell32.dll, I can find the "reboot" icon, but I can't find this reboot icone anywhere...

Do you know where I can find it ?

Thanks

This is the command to associate with the icon:
%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -r -t 0
and mine is on the top row, before the cds and dvds here:
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll

I have a shutdown and logoff icon in my shell32.dll but no restart icon. I am also using Windows Vista (old icons still there though).

Neowin Scroll down a little and you'll find the link. They have taken it from a system file, but this file is not in vista. Is this file in XP?

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msgina.dll

Thank you and does this contain the restart icon you are looking for. ( I know you already have the file, but I am curios and I don't have XP on this PC at the moment, to check.)

OK, Thank you again. I really don't know where this icon can be hiding then. At least you got one though.
