I am currently experiencing a problem where i boot up the pc running (XP home edition), i get as far as the XP user login screen. Im unable to control the cursor at all, the keyboard and mouse are fine.

Keyboard has been proved as i can boot up in safe mode, but still am stuck at the log in screen.

Prior to this problem i was having issues my spy sweeper software (webroot ver3), was locating trojan "downloader ruin" i was unable to get rid. Each time i deleted it, it returned after a reboot.

Eventually i got to the stage im at now, where i cant even log in to run anyfurther sweeps etc...

Im probably some windows updates behind but not sure as i cant log in.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
