I can't seem to read any of my data cd's in either my HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8161B or my HP DVD Writer 400c. Both have the same problem only able play audio cd's but can't read data cd's. I've tried reinstalling the drivers but that didn't work. Can anyone help me with this problem?

My DVD rom is the GDR8161B and my Dvd writer is the 300n.

If I figure out what's gone wrong, I'll let you know. I'd appreciate it if you could do the same, if you figure out what's wrong with yours.
