Hi
My grandaughter has somehow changed the password on my daughters pc. As she is only aged 7 she can't remember what she has done. It is a multi user pc but my daughter needs to access as she is the administrater. Is there a way to retrieve the original password? OS Windows XP+SP2. Hope you understand.
Thanks in advance. Jarvos

Is there more than one admin account? Is this Home or Pro?
Use another admin account to reset the PW for the one you want into.
Go to safe mode (F8 during boot up in most cases) and use the hidden Administrator account to reset the PW. in home this account is not passworded and most big box (HP, Dell, Emachines) system pro is not Pw either.
