I've gotten as far as getting the left panel off, but I can find no way to remove the right side panel so I can remove the screws securing the drive on the right side of the bay.

Is there something I'm missing here? Or am I just stupid?

Many thanks for any help.

Hi there - you should not need to take the other side off, after taking off the left side panel - unscrew the screws 2 screws that hold the drive in place on that side of the rail and the drive shouldl simply pull out, when you put the new drive in use the screw from the old cd rom, you will notice they are slightly diff to standard screws.

I don't believe there are screws on the right side. Below are instructions on how to remove the front cover.

Hope this helps!
