A customer brought in a computer and their problem is as follow:

When you click on the user account and type in the password it will sit there a second saying loading preferences and then it will say logging out and take you to the user acount screen. I tried to boot in safe mode but it does the same thing with that user and the administrator account.

It is an hp so i used their built in recovery process and it got almost to the very end and failed saying that i need to use a start up disk to restart the recovery process. Now when i turn on the computer just says "failed to update the user accounts password before it even gets to the user accounts page and starts over.

Sorry, we cannot help. See our Terms of Use:

We offer free computer help and tech support for home and personal use. We are not here to support others that work for profit, or to support/replace your company's IT department.

While generally we dont mind helping if someone is stuck, we do mind when someone comes multiple times to recieve help for "customer" computers.

It is most certainly not fair for you to profit repeatedly from our free help.

The admin team will take up this discussion and we will let you know what we come up with.
