hello all

i am having a small problem with the windows update. for 2 weeks now the same update has been installing over and over again. i go to microsoft and make sure i have all the updates and i do. but this one keeps comming up in my bar saying i have updates ready to install. i install them and it pops right back up again. i have gotten to the point that i don't do it anymore. i just let it install when i shut down.

i am running windows xp pro on my computer. i have been to microsoft to see if they have any info that might help me stop this same update from installing but i get sooooo lost i can't find what i need.

can someone help me out???

Click start, control panel, security centre

Click automatic updates at the bottom, put the dot in off, click apply

Click change the way security centre alerts me, remove the tick for automatic updates, click OK

oh i sure will. i usally go there once a week just to make sure i am up to date.
