Ok here's what I did, using a XP Home SP2 disk
I reformated and installed windows. Now I want
to change the serial number to one I had before
which came with a XP Upgrade, and before that
used ME Upgrade on top of a 98 version.

So my XP key didn't work when I started the
reformat/reinstall of windows. I got past that
but now want to use my serial that worked
fine before I had to reformat/reinstall.

I tried the "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" fix
from this thread: http://www.geekstogo...showtopic=34250
But it keeps telling me I must have typed it wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
