Hi pls help, ive had this problem for quite a while and need some help.

Whenever I run games on my PC the sound is always stuttering and echoing itself in the background making it near on impossible to understand any in game speech.

I have tried changing my speakers, Downloading new drivers, even bought a new soundcard to try and fix this but to no avail. All windows sounds and any music I play works fine, it just seems to be when playing games. I dont have any conflicts in Device Manager, and the card says its working properly?!?!

Please HELP!!!

whats the make and model of your pc or sound card so we can check on what drivers you need the new ones may not work right on a older sound card.

My old sound chip (on the mother board) is an Avance 97

but i bought a new soundcard about a week ago, but still no luck...the new is just called a Cmedia sound card.

im running Windows XP, AMD Athlon Processer 1.7ghz, Nvidia Geforce 2 Mx440 gfx card

I would appreciate your help

if you add A pci you need to disable the onboard one I'll look into drivers for you

Hi, thanks, but i have already disabled the sound chip to allow the sound to pass through the PCI board...still no joy
