Hi. Grandpa had an HP Pavillion xt963 that he wanted to give the kids. He unplugged everything and brought it upstairs. When we hooked everything up to check it out, nothing happened when we hit the on/off button. The monitor comes on. There is a green light on the back of the tower that comes on. But when you push the button, the machine just sits there and doesn't do anything. Does anyone have any ideas?

I found out that the mother board is fried. I guess when Grandpa carried the computer upstairs and set it on the carpet, static electricity must have goten it. Oh well. It's the thought that counts, right?
