This is almost a repeat, with some changes. I'm unable to run SOME setup install files, nor run one or two (so far) installed application programs (notably PaintShopPro), nor save or open SOME attachments from Outlook2000 email. I'm running Windows2000. In all cases I get varying messages that always point to the Windows TEMP folder, like "can't access it", "can't open it, check permissions" (Windows in a FAT32 partition -- no permissions), "can't find it", etc. I've had no luck with any ideas I've gotten from, in this case, many forums. My bottom line question is: is it anyone's best guess that I need to 1) eliminate my current Profile and build a new one, or 2) re-install my Windows2000 (which I usually have to do every couple of years to get over some Gates gotcha or another..... :whistling: ) I assume reinstalling W2K will not change my current application programs or data files.
