Hi,

My laptop monitor is very very dim, so much so that the only way I can see what's on it is by having direct light from my window on it to light it up. I have tried adjusting the brightness and contrast, as well as restarting in safe mode to see if it is the driver. I have run scans with AdAware, Spybot, and AVG. They all found things to remove, but it didn't solve the problem. I ran HijackThis and saved a log, here's a copy:

HI

Trojan Zlob is both a backdoor trojan ( allowing access to your computer) & a downloader trojan ( which means it can download and execute programs on your computer) ... but it can't change the brightness of your monitor...

You have several infections shown in your log, but as I am not a member of staff here, Therefore I cannot advise you....

I suggest you post your log here :-

http://www.geekstogo...o_Here-f37.html

Where an expert will advise you.
