I want to know if it's ok to remove net meeting, movie maker, MS Works and MS Works Suite from my computer? I didn't install them, and not sure if they're a part of another windows component that won't work properly if I uninstall them. The only Microsoft program that I use regularly is Word. Do you have any knowledge of Fast Browser Pro 8 and whether it's supposed to be there, or not? If it's a program that someone downloaded, then I can safely get rid of it.
As I ran HTJ, I noticed a few things that are showing up that I don't use. Image Shack toolbar consistently shows up on the logfiles, but it's not even on my computer anymore that I am aware of. I don't use Symantec, either. I also saw the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool there, and I have no idea why that's showing up.
I'm trying to free up some space on my computer because I've gotten a few messages saying that I need to free up some space. I currently use SpywareGuard, Avast!, Spyware Blaster, Spybot and Adaware Personal. Is it ok to run all these programs or should I get rid of some of them? I don't want to bog my computer down with programs that aren't necessesary.
