I was finishing a final edit of a presentation for this morning when I got a message" Instruction at 0x30977418 refereced memory at (same)..data not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000009c". I've tried to open the filw many time, no luck, even the original attachment (unedited) sent to me won't open. Can anyone help ASAP?? Many thanks!

Short of someone else coming up with a better idea, see below:

- corupted 'Office Works', I would uninstall then reinstall,
- looked up I/O and MS came back with this link below but since it is regedit, unless you really know what you are doing, leave it well alone.

Now, a little trick, still want to see you document even without word.

run command
press: winkey + r button
type: notepad
press: enter
dragdrop your unseeable text on the open window and notepad will try to translate it, when finish just close the file, (do not use save as)
