I have an HP 940c injet printer which was working perfiectly.

The "out of ink" light started flashing so I replaced the cartridges with new ones.

However, I still get the "out of ink" message even with new full cartridges.

I have tried with just the colour one installed, just the black one and with both.

Unfortunately I cannot find the manual and HP does not provide an on-line one so I don't know how to use any built in printer functions.

Seems a pity to throw away a perfectly good printer and to have wasted money on new ink cartridges. Anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. HP does have a manual for this. Go to
http://h10025.www1.h...C...p;lang=en
The also contact hp directly from this page if you can't find the answer in the manual.
