Hello i have been asked to criticaly evaluating the effect of changes to the OS parameters and variables on its performance an have been search on the internet for some time, looking for useful information to help me with this project. Does anyone know of links to some suitable information i could read up on to help me with this task?

If so i would be very greatfull if you could provide these links for me :whistling:

There are no "parameters". There are settings but these only affect how Windows does things or how quickly Windows does things or whether Windows does certain things or not. All of these have no effects on how Windows does things, rather on when it does things.

Your request would be more suitable to an open-source operating system, like Linux for example (others are available), as it would be possible, should you have the time, to download and recomply the source code for said operating systems with different parameters and optimisation sets.
