I get no sound when a particular error message comes up

Whenever this message comes up I lose my sound capabilities and have to restart my computer before I can hear anything.

This exact message comes up: "Generic Host Processes for Win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close."

If you need anymore details, I'm sure it will happen again soon, lol.

Thanks in advance for any help.

control panel > system > hardware > device manager. Any yellow question or exclamation marks?
