Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer for the same string and see if NoInstrumentation is listed there or under the previous key.

The value is 1 (one).

Change it to 0 (zero) in both keys if it's present.

You'll have to log off of Windows or reboot for this to take effect. Open a program twice and close it...does it show in recent programs?

wannabe1, yar a genius! A full list of my last-used programs came up. I didn't even have to open any programs. I don't know how you know all that stuff, but I ain't complainin'. Thanks a bunch to you (and Keith) for the help. I'll try not to be a bother for a while. Thanx, again.
