Ok, so this may be one for the brits out there.

Today i had my ntl broadband installed. It doesn't install through the telephone cable, but instead they install a cable box and connect a modem to it by a coax cable. meaning i don't have a dsl line. there are no filters involved. I've managed to get it on my desktop PC through an Ethernet connection but that's not enough. there are three other computers in my house and i need to link all of them (through wireless) to the modem. So I know i need a router, and i've got one (Thomson Speedtouch 576 v6) but basically it doesn't work. It won't let me connect to the net.

So I don't really know what problem I'm having. I can't connect to the internet through wireless, and I need to .

Help.

Cheers,

Tom

Hi. It sounds like you have cable internet and not DSL... Cable is faster by the way. You may need a special router for that, but I'm not sure. Just wanted to make you aware that you don't have DSL lol Anyway, what check lights appear on the router?
