You can have more than one browser on your computer. However, they do take up space. Be sure to set one as your default browser. I have AOL, IE, Firefox and Opera on the computer that I design with. I also check out my designs on a Mac. Some web design software will allow you to view in different browesers within the software just with one click. I am unfamiliar with Front Page, so I'm not sure if this feature is offered.

I am viewing the webpage on a 15" monitor, IE 6.0, 1024 X 768 resolution, true color (32bit).
1. When the webpage opens, the screen is taken up mostly by the top banner. For me, it would make a better impact if the top banner was smaller so that the main image (pretty lady) is more centered in the screen.
2. The text on the navigation buttons is very tight, jumbled and small. Some is difficult to read.
3. It could be a good idea to move the muic box so that it can been seen as soon as the web page is opened. I had to look for it by scrolling down. Some folks want the option to immediately turn off music.
4. Change the title of your main page. When I went to add this page to my favorites, it saved as "Index".

well lets start.lol

the web page is set to 1024, I verify in 3 screen resolutions 1024, 800,600, they show fine and in center so it doesn't have lower scroolbar that is what I was trying to achieve. then I move the music box to the top as you suggest me. the three pages with music have the box in the top center, I add a flower in each side cause it was looking ike it wasn't from place.other thing is that when the page is loading I saw the music box with a big black square until it loads completly, is that normal?. I change the name of the index, now it saves as New In PSP. the one thing I found strange is that I try to save the page and it start to save but when it has about 2 green squares to end a pop up box appears saying the page you try to save can't be save in that location. and its doing it with the ones that have no right click, could that be the problem? well continue, then I ask the owner of the linkware set and explain that the font in the buttoms are to close and almost unreadable, if I can change the font of the bottoms, she reply that if I change the fonts I'll be violeting her TOU and copyright, as she offer the web set with font and gradient and settings. and she gave me two links and ask me if I want to change the one I got for one of th others, I check them and I almost fant. lol one was spruce green with a theme in horses, dogs and prairy, nope don't like it, the other were in hot pink in squares with the image of 2 kitty's playing with a feather. ugggggg.. I said ma'am is ok I'll leave it like the way it is now. she response that she monitor her linkwares to check if the webmistress have change anything on them if it has been altered she ask to be removed in 24 hours. (kind of controling) so I can't do anything on that part. but I have been picking the idea of make my own web set, they are not difficult to make. and im on it. but for now I'll let the one I got, I finifh 1 week ago to fixed. since 6 month ago.

but could you please check if is ok now, I'll appreciated a lot

Yep, the web site works fine for the purpose I make it, that is that the members of the learning group found the things neccessary for doing their homework.I ask in a message and all of them see and found all they neede relatively easy, nothing too fancy that make them go back to back. at least its working on that, I did not make it to bussiness or to show off, just to serve as a tool in the group. and you are right everyday are something new that makes you think your site is outdate even if you set it the day before. so it serves my goals on it.

thanks a lot I do appreciate all your suggestionsw and ideas, and it seems like I have a way long road to be at least closer to you guys.

You web design people need to make up your minds!

Web Design is fluid. Techniques, standards, conventions are going to continually change as technology changes. What is the newest, best way this month is old hat next month. I'm going to go out on a limb and risk severe spankings from other members and say - There is no absolute correct way to build a website. Yes, I know W3C has their standards and conventions. Yes, I know that mot popular browsers support one style over something else. But in the grand scheme of things, if your website achieved your goals, then for you, the website is set up correctly. If its a website to share with your friends or coworkers and it works on their computers and you don't care how it looks on anyone else's, fine. You've achieved your goal and your website is perfect. On the other hand, if you want to sell merchandise to the masses, and only a select few can use the website, then of course you will need to set it up to standards so that most of the rest of the world can see. Identify your goal, build the website accordingly.

Someone is going to have to burn all of my soapboxes.

I viewed your site on a different computer. 1280X1024 resolution, highest (32bit) color and a larger (I think 19"), flat screen monitor - sorry I don't know the specs of the monitor.

If you can't change the fonts, you can't change them. I'm sure there's a bunch of folks out there that have no problem seeing them. I can see them better on this monitor, most likely because it's a larger monitor. I still need to scroll down to see the image in the center. It's such a wonderful image and really makes an impact. But like I stated before, you didn't make the website for me, you made it for you and your group. I love the center image, and the effect of the falling roses. Good job.

Yes it was made in a 17 inches monitor. on 1024 res. before I change th image down to add the music control box on top, when the page start loading yo saw the image first, now I need to pull her down so the mucis box cold fit in the middle. what I still don't like is that when the page is loading it shows a black box on top of the music box and when it finish to load then the music box appears. I guess thats normal right?, and thanks for all the help you gave me. and a second opinion is always better then one. lol

I believe that black box may be the browser making room for the image until it recieves all of the information from the image before it can be displayed.
