Hi and thanks ahead of time. It seems like I've got a nasty one. I've counted four maybe five trojans removed from my machine. I've run through the click me help topics, and have run the three different virus scans, adware, and spybot but I am still getting popups, although not nearly as bad as before. Here's my hijack.log:

Hi :whistling:

Lets start with this

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Hi :whistling:

Yes Vundo is being a pain

Right click hijackthis.exe and rename it to HJT.exe

Please run a scan with HijackThis and check the following lines for removal:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qwyyfzi.dll] C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwyyfzi.dll,rkwtwad

Now close ALL other open windows except for HijackThis and hit FIX CHECKED. Exit HijackThis.

Please download ComboFix and save it to your desktop.
Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's done running it will produce a log for you. Please post that log in your next reply, with a new hijack log.
Important Note - Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Hi :whistling:

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit. In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Save it to your desktop.

click >>start>>control panel >>add/remove programs and uninstall the following if present:
    InetGet2

Please run a scan with HijackThis and check the following lines for removal:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4761AD6B-4DA9-5855-A0A8-6643B414F2EE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mzr.dll (file missing)
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {21337934-5519-44DA-AC3C-8C610B8CEF9F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssttr.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {267E9A56-3D45-94B9-1BC9-012926BDF14D} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwyyfzi.dll
    O2 - BHO: bho2gr Class - {31FF080D-12A3-439A-A2EF-4BA95A3148E8} - C:\Program Files\GetRight\xx2gr.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {3D77ECCA-20F6-18E4-8640-0B69AC79954B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vevmrue.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4761AD6B-4DA9-5855-A0A8-6643B414F2EE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mzr.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {849B9523-785F-4014-9CAF-079FB4A74C61} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\lqfxxtds.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C26D075E-8960-43EF-86D4-60645DBCAA9F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddayw.dll (file missing)
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [qzqr] C:\Program Files\InetGet2\stub_109_4_0_4_0.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Snte] "C:\DOCUME~1\BETSIE~1\APPLIC~1\STEM32~1\dvdplay.exe" -vt yazb
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Sobewv] C:\Documents and Settings\Betsie Och\My Documents\?ystem32\w?nword.exe
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.elitemediagroup.net
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: winopn32 - winopn32.dll (file missing)

Now close ALL other open windows except for HijackThis and hit FIX CHECKED. Exit HijackThis.

    Run Killbox
    • Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
    • Select: [list]
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
  • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\justin.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\iiffghg.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\hanceremm.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\jst66d0a.sys

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vevmrue.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsb309.dll
    C:\Program Files\InetGet2

  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).
If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Please post a new Hijack log.

Ok wow you are a life saver. Did everything you said (quite an analysis I guess to find all those things - Thanks :whistling: ) and no issues except I had to reboot. Haven't seen a popup yet or anything strange.

Here's my latest HJT log, post Killbox....

Hi :whistling:

Looking good

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report along with a new hijackthis log.

Not getting popups anymore, but my download speeds seem to be a bit slow right now. Thanks again for your help and continual efforts.

Thought I'd bump this so it doesn't get too far down the list and get forgotten.

Hi

Sorry I must have overlooked you :whistling:

Killbox creates a folder and moves the files we delete there just incase you delete something you werent supposed to. So its just finding the bad files we deleted in thier new home C:\!killbox

Just browse for and delete these 2 folders:
C:\WINDOWS\QmV0c2llIE9jaA
C:\!KillBox

Clean out your Temporary Internet files. Proceed as follows:
  • Quit Internet Explorer and quit any instances of Windows Explorer.
  • Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
  • On the General tab, click Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files.
  • In the Delete Files dialog box, tick the Delete all offline content check box , and then click OK.
  • On the General tab, click Delete Cookies under Temporary Internet Files, and then click OK.
  • Click on the Programs tab then click the Reset Web Settings button. Click Apply then OK.
  • Click OK.
I'm assumin the .kleinfelder entries are recognized by you? If they are you should be good to go
