 Okay, here goes... I've been going around in circles with this machine... never mind it's along story and it isn't going help any of you help me.

The epic in th saga of "Me vs. This Thing" (sorry I'm a little disgruntled). Anyhow, the display settings are suck, that is unmoveable, from 16 Colors / 640 by 480 pixels. I've updated the driver even searched repeatedly for further updates (seems there aren't any updates for the Standard PCI Graphics Adaper {vga}). I've done the trouble shooting. Then I ran 'Everest Home Ed.' and found that the AGP is disabled.
I ran a customized report to post here, showing the computer, motherboard and display.

Please Help!!! :whistling:

Thank You!!!

Redbird Pete

here's the report....

This is a motherboard made by Asus for a Hewlett-Packard computer.

All this message tells you is that the board isn't using the AGP port, apparently it has onboard graphics instead. If you was to install a separate graphics card, then the message would change.

The drivers for this onboard graphics are most likely going to be this one:

Thank you, Neil.

But that doesn't seem to be the problem.....So can anyone PLEASE tell me what to do when your 'Display Settings' are stuck on '16 Colors' and '640x480 pixels'.The driver is updated and there are no conflicts with anything.....

If I don't get this fixed I'm going to go insane. With everything always flashing at me, and if it isn't flashing or doesn't have a solid background I can't read it. Which makes surffing the web trying to fix it just a bit difficult.

Please Help!!!!

If the computer is stuck with 16 colors and 640x480 then the computer is running the standard windows video drivers and not the correct drivers for the intel chipset video controller. Look at this webpage and use the I D utility to find what your chipset is so you can download the proper drivers.
