[miles goes rawr]

Ive had this worm before, and I knew right away I had it again once I was not able to ctrl alt delete. I believe the file is called winlog.exe, etc, so here is my hijack this log.

Please Take Note:

The virus you have incorporates password-stealing functionality, as such I reccomend you go to a safe computer and change any and all secure passwords you may have used on this machine, and limit websurfing on this machine until it has been cleaned


Are you using the full version of Zone Alarm, with anti-virus, or just the firewall?


Run HijackThis and place checkmarks next to the following entries:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [outlook] C:\Program Files\outlook\outlook.exe /auto
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winlog] winlog.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [winlog] winlog.exe

then close all other open windows and click "fix checked"

next, delete the following file:

C:\Windows\System32\winlog.exe

and the following folder:

C:\Program Files\outlook

finally, reboot and post a fresh HijackThis log
