Okay,

I downloaded Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com) Win32 C compiler. Now, when I start I get the error:

5 [main] ? 988 _dll_crt0: internal error: couldn't determine location of t
hread function on stack. Expect signal problems.

On alot of command prompt programs compiled with cygwin, and when im compiling anything I get the error lots of times..

Help me fix this, I dont feel like reinstalling windows.

:whistling:

You don't have to re-install Windows because of that error.
The error is "Internal", which means in the program, not Windows.
I have no idea how to fix it, but did you notice the program can't find it's DLL's?
Re-install the program and link the correct uses in the head of the code.
Like this:
<windows.h>
<whatever_you_use.h>

Jeez, didin't think anyone would reply. :whistling:

Anyways, it happens on most programs from other cygwin users too.

It cannot users 'cygwin1.dll' to launch the program, when its in the same folder like it is supposed to be. I also have the cygwin1.dll in my system32 folder registered.

I used to make simple programs in cygwin too, but have never encountered any problems with that.
Isn't there a FAQ on the cywin site itself about this problem?
