Norton Systemworks

Can't install Norton Systemworks 2006. Uninstalled Systemworks 2005 per instructions, tried to install 2006 - failed, sent to Symatec site - Downloaded & used Norton AutoFix Tool & "Norton Removal Tool 2007.2.0.5 which is supposed to remove all previous Norton files, but does'nt seem to be effective. After each "removal" scan, Systemworks installation prescan fails every time & quits install, reports error 9999,172 , sends me to Symantec site, offers above downloads. Found the "Norton Prescan Log" which list the following results:
