I have been hit really hard this week. I have installed Adaware, Spybot, CWshredder and killbox. Things are better than they were but Spybot keeps on bringing up the same old problems and failing to kill them off on reboot, and AVG keeps on reporting a virus. MS update won't let me install SP2 (I'm using XP) - says install failed. When I start the PC I get a message that one of my disks needs to be checked for consistency. I can't seem to use F8 to drop into Safe Mode.

Then I get a Desktop window and a popup saying C:\windows\isrvs\desktop.exe NTUDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. I can close this and it goes away but it shouldn't be there.
