XP Internet Connection dropped (cable modem)

We have a cable modem that is constantly connected. The problem is that if you leave the computer idle for 30 minutes or so and then open up a browser, it can't find the webpage. When you look at the LAN connection, it says it's connected. So why can't Windows see that it's connected? This is really frustrating because we're always having to reboot.

give this first one a try

if the first didnt work then try the second one

its safe....but it does replace and repairs registry keys
read up on it if your not sure ...if you feel uncomfortable about it then dont use it
